Peek A Boo Pumpkin quilt

I made a cute "Peek A Boo Pumpkin  quilt, it's a free pattern from Jenny Doan at Missouri Star Quilt Co. It's very big (72X85) and is meant to hang on your front porch.  I might hang mine on Halloween night but if I leave it up during the Halloween season, the sun will fade the beautiful oranges and blacks. You don't need skills to make this quilt, it's all 5" unfinished blocks, and some half square triangles.  It's very beginner friendly.

Do you see Paisley playing peek a boo?

Can you see Riley playing peek a boo? Look carefully...

I backed my quilt with cute little jack o lantern faces.

Here's a closer look the fabrics I used.

My friend Marti at Lynny Lou Crafts in Gilbert, Arizona, did a beautiful job on her longarm.  She quilted big spider webs all over it.
I used some blacks and oranges that weren't Halloween prints, so don't worry if your Halloween stash isn't huge!

Here is the link to the Youtube video at Missouri Star.

I hope you were inspired to make one of these quilts for yourself :)  See you again next week ❤️

Snail Quilt

I made the Snails quilt, designed by Lindsey at Pen and Paper Patterns. Over a year ago now, I visited London with my daughter Lindsay and her husband and four children. We made a trip to the Liberty of London store.  It was so beautiful! I bought some fat quarter bundles with high hopes of making something wonderful.

All the snail shells are Liberty of London fabrics.  I was able to choose fabric to coordinate, for the bodies, and chose a light gray Ruby Star Society print for the background.

I really wanted to give the quilt to Lucy, she loves little animals, and she loves a quilt with a minky background! She is turning 11 years old in August.  My daughter Lindsay took all the photos.

Lucy loves her quilt!!!

My daughter Lindsay took all the photos. You can see some really cute videos or reels on my Instagram page!  dreamquiltcreate

Lucy asked if I would be in the photo with her.  Melted heart! ❤️

My friend Marti from Lynny Lou Crafts in Gilbert did the long arm quilting. It's just perfect!

Here's a photo with the soft pink minky background.  So pretty!

Thanks for visiting, I will see you next week ❤️

Strawberry Jam quilt

Here we are again, using Sabrina as a model.  She's even wearing a strawberry dress to match the quilt!

This pattern is called Strawberry Jam and is by a Crafty Fox. I love all the scrappiness of it, and I hand selected the fussy cut fabric which is always so much fun!  I decided not to use 2 1/2" squares for the strawberries, because some of them had such cute prints, I didn't want to cut them up.

Sabrina, you're such a sweet girl! I think you really like being my model :)

Here is a link to my post when I was putting this quilt together.

Then there's yours truly, showing you how I assembled the back 🍓

This quilt was so much fun to put together!

Thanks for following and I'll see you back here next week!

lucky cuff quilt

I belong to the Phoenix Modern Quilt Guild and every year they have a block of the month quilt.  I don't participate in all of them, but this one will be my third. "Lucky Cuff" was designed by Doris Blaisdell for the Modern Quilt Guild, January 2020.

We made Lucky Cuff in the year 2023, and each month we had a section to make.  It's always fun seeing everyone else's blocks, and the colors that they use.

Here is a link to some of our guild's quilts.

I wasn't that crazy about my quilt, but when my friend Pam at Sweet Pz Designs in Gilbert, Arizona quilted it, I fell in love with it! She used the "arches" pantograph.

With the help of my cute little grand daughter Sarina and her parents, we took some really fun photos!

This photo shows off the machine quilting.

I used my Lori Holt fabric, but had to buy fabric for the background.

I used half yard pieces of Lori Holt for the backing.  I think it gives a really pretty look :)

Thanks Sabrina, that's a wrap! See you next week :)

Collector's Edition Quilt

I was collecting really cute Cotton and Steel fabric and Ruby Star Society fabric for about 10 years, just waiting for the perfect project Whenever I found a piece that I couldn't live without,  I would add it to my collection. One day as I was looking on the internet, I found this pattern.  A great way to display my favorite fabrics!

You can see my post here when I was choosing the prints.

Here's my finished quilt!

I pieced some pink Rudy Star fabric on the back.

Can you see the daisy quilting motif that my long armer used?  I love it so much!  Her name is Marti and you can find her at Lynny Lou's Crafts in Gilbert, Arizona.

I found the best spot to photograph and show off my quilts!

This quilt was so much fun to make.  I made it during a quilt along.

Now I can use the fabric I was collecting in other quilts because I know it has been beautifully shown in this quilt.

Thanks for following me, I'll see you next week :)

Heart of the Home quilt

I've posted about this quilt a few times, you can see the first post here.

Sherri and Chelsi have done such a fantastic job designing this quilt. I pulled fabric from my stash, but I did have to buy fabric for the border and binding.  I chose colors that are similar to the quilt on the cover.

Here is the quilt just before sunset with a slight golden hue.

This is the first log cabin quilt that I've made.

Can you see the beautiful long arm quilting design? My friend Marti from Lynny Lou Crafts in Gilbert has great taste choosing pantographs

I used this fabric for the back of the quilt. I thought the colors and flower print matched very well.

These photos are better at showing the quilt's true colors.

Thanks for sharing my love of quilting, see you next week!

Toy Sewing Machine quilt

I told you a couple of weeks ago that I was working on Lori Holt's "toy sewing machine" quilt.  I thought there were only 25 blocks, but there are 30! I'm currently sewing the extra 5 and have 3 more to go.

There will be scrappy background sashing between the rows, with cornerstones between them, and a border.

I'm so excited to finish up this quilt, I think it's really cute!

Here's a little tease of my Strawberry Jam quilt that I'll be able to show you soon! 🍓🍓🍓

Thanks for following me, see you next week!
