I made a table topper from Camille Roskelley's "Sweet Life" pattern, you can read about it here.
The pattern can be found in Camille's book, "Simply Retro".
She gave her readers a tip: "Sew together the triangles you trimmed from the Flying Geese to make half square triangles. Sew these in rows to make a throw pillow top or a small quilt."
I don't know why I never thought of that before!
I only made 4 blocks for my table topper, but......
I was able to make this cute chevron place mat.
There were still half square triangles left, so I made some mug rugs.
I still have to quilt everything at an undisclosed and unknown date, but I will definately show you the finished projects!
I hope to someday get half as good as you with the points and pinwheels. I'm still wonky wonky:) silly question... Is a mug rug a coaster? :)
ReplyDeleteThis design is incredible! You obviously know how to keep a reader amused.
ReplyDeleteBetween your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Fantastic
job. I really enjoyed what you had to say,
and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool!
