Teaching the Baby Pinwheel quilt

I'm teaching some ladies from church, a basic quilting class.
I offered them a choice of charm packs,
and they provided their own background fabric.
We met and I showed them how to make the pinwheel block,
although they didn't need much help.
In two weeks we met again,
and they all had their quilt tops completed!
This is Stephanie, she's a beginner to intermediate quilter.
I say that, because she's making a Sue Bonnet Sue quilt!
Stephanie chose an older line I had by Chez Moi by Moda.

This is Nancy, she's a hoot!!!
She chose Mary Engelbreit, her top is so cute!

This is Debby, she chose an older Valentine print by Sandy Gervais.
Debby might be a beginner quilter,
but she's an experienced seamstress.
All of these ladies are so sweet and have hearts of gold.
I've really enjoyed getting to know them.

This quilt pattern is very easy, super cute and extremely popular!
This is where you can get the free pattern.

Pinwheel Baby Quilt

I made the Pinwheel baby quilt from a "Sweet" charm pack, by Urban Chiks for Moda fabrics.
There is a tutorial for this cute little quilt here, at Moda Bake Shop.
Jodi Nelson designed the quilt, it's one of my favorites.
All it takes is 1 l/4 yd of white and one charm pack.
I took a photo of the quilt (thanks to my husband) in Southern Utah, with the red rock mountain in the background.

I'm thrilled with my machine quilting!
I quilted swirls over the pinwheels and feathers in the border.

Prairie points are awesome too, giving the quilt added texture.

I used a pink dot Riley Blake fabric for the background.

My grandchildren love it when I back their quilts with soft minky.

I made this quilt for my newest grand daughter, Riley Jordan.

She is the cutest, especially when she smiles :)

This is a fast and fun quilt to make, and it's one of the most popular posts on my blog and on Pinterest.
I'm going to make some more and put them in my Etsy shop!

Pinwheel Baby Quilt

I made this quilt for my niece who had a baby girl.  I loved making this quilt, maybe because I love pinwheels :)
The colors are vibrant, backed with the fresh white and the prairie points.
I used a charm pack of Snippets by American Jane.

I even did the quilting myself on my sewing machine :)

I backed it with soft chenille.

I also used this pattern to make a quilt for my grandaughter in a different color scheme.

I machine quilted this quilt also, the smaller baby size is manageable.  This is a Lila Tueller fabric.

The border has little pin dots which you don't notice in the large photo of the quilt.  I was able to quilt daisies all along the border.

I really like the green print on the back of the quilt.

The tutorial for this pattern can be found at Moda Bake Shop.

This quilt pattern was designed by Jodi at Pleasant Home.
