Grandchildren Gifts

We have finished our move to another state! It wasn't really planned, but happened within a month. Buying and selling our house! I finally got my sewing room unpacked and organized. My first day of sewing was today. My son and daughter in law and their two children are coming to visit next week, so I decided to sew some gifts for them.

Sarina is 3 1/2 years old and loves Winnie the Pooh, so I made her a pillowcase for a 12 x 16 pillow. I need to go back to Pine Needles quilt shop and buy some more fabric to finish it.

I made Sabrina a pencil case with leftover Winnie the Pooh fabric. It's very simple to make, here is the tutorial. I've made quite a few of them.

I made Lucas a pillowcase also.  He's so adorable and is 10 months old, such a cute age!!!

I have lots more to show you in the coming weeks, so stay tuned :)

Monogrammed Zipper Pouch

I think this monogrammed zipper pouch is so cute! You can see the tutorial by Make It and Love It here.

I used some striped cats from Cotton & Steel, some Essex linen and the last little bit of this Rifle Paper Co print that I had. My rick rack is vintage with some silver thread.  Do you see the little embroidery stitches I made along the seam? I love doing things like that :)

I seriously love Rifle Paper Co, but isn't this print the best?

Look at the darling little gummy bear zipper pull!
I have an app on my phone called Aliexpress.  I order cute little things like this from China for pennies.

I used a blanket stitch on my sewing machine to attach the "J".

The zipper pouch is even lined with a cute Rifle Paper Co print.

I've still got a lot of quilts under construction and have paused sewing for a week because my family is visiting.  I'm working on a couple of secret projects too that are taking priority.

I hope you choose to make this little pouch, it's very quick and very easy.  The zipper's easy to attach.

Happy sewing and thanks for following along :)
