Bats & Boos

I finished my Bats and Boos table topper.  I made mine a little different though.  It is directional so that everything is in sync with the witch's face in the middle of the quilt.

I absolutely love quilt alongs, it's so much fun seeing everyone's finished quilt.

Now I've finally got a Halloween table runner for my table and it matches the centerpiece I made with a branch and acorns.

This was a short post, but one that celebrates Halloween!

Bats and Boos Quilt Along

I saw a quilt along on the Fat Quarter shop and really wanted to join in,,,,,even though I'm trying to finish quilts for my grandchildren pile!

You can see the info here if you want to make one.

I don't have any Hallowe'en quilts and really want one!  I have a little bit of Hallowe'en fabric which I bought on clearance in 2010!  I cut out the fabric for the four bats and realized that I didn't have enough of the wing fabric.  I looked on Etsy and found some very similar fabric to use for the left wing and you can barely notice that it isn't the same. It's just scrappy, right?

My pumpkin is a little busy with the large polka dots but I still like it :)

I really like the star too! I love mystery quilt alongs because you never know what it's going to look like when it's finished and that's part of the fun in choosing colors.  I'm going to back this little table topper that measures at 40 1/2" square, with Matilda the witch who is in the little center peekaboo square.

Here's my finished quilt.  I loved the look of the soft border, I used a Carolyn Friedlander fabric I had in my stash.  I auditioned some of my Hallowe'en prints and they were just too busy. Those little feet belong to my cute 8 year old grand daughter Kylie.

Have a wonderful week and thanks for following me ❤️
