Cut and Sew Panels

I just love these cut and sew panels by Stacy  Iest Hsu for Moda fabrics

I've made almost every single one of hers and my grand daughters love them! When I saw this adorable Doggy one, I just had to buy it!!! You cut along the lines, nothing extra to add, and them sew with a 1/4" S/A

It really helps if you sew the dolls with a shorter stitch so they don't come apart.

These adorable dogs just melted my heart when I saw them!  There are four little pups in the Mom's skirt, and the Dad with his shorts and bow  tie ❤️ Love their floppy ears too!

Four little pups all in a row...

I also bought this cute shirt for my little grand daughter, keeping with the dog theme :)

Here is the Kitty Cut and Sew Panel.
There is a whole line of fabric that goes with these panels too.  I just type the fabric line or the name of the Cut and Sew panel in the search button on Etsy and see what comes up. I try to order from a shop that has free shipping if you spend $35.00. I'd rather. spend the extra money on fabric instead of shipping :)

Swoon!!!  So cute!  I'm ordering an extra panel of the Doggy and Kitty for birthday gifts for grand daughters in the new year.

I especially love the fabric on the Kitty's skirt.  It would make a cute little girls dress or a quilt! I love the pleasant look on their faces.  ....like they're keeping a secret.....This grand daughter is getting some fuzzy pajamas to go with her little kitties ❤️

Here's the whole group!  Sew, sew cute 💗💗💗

I may have taken on too much but I'm sewing a lot of gifts this Christmas....See you next week :)

Joyful, Joyful Stable panel

I love anything that Stay Iest Hsu creates.  This season she has a darling fabric line called Joyful Joyful. She has included a panel of the nativity. I bought two of them! I made one this season for my son's family and I'm saving the other for a gift for next year.

I just love them!  Here are the 3 wise men and the shepherd and the angel Gabriel.

The lamb, the camel and the donkey.

On the back of each little person is their name, how cute!

The 3 wisemen.

On the outside of the stable, Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus are in one of the windows.

The velcro closures work really well.  I had to go to Walmart to buy my velcro, it was my only option at the time. They only had the self stick version which I did not like at all.  When I sewed it, the needle became sticky and there was lots of glue residue everywhere. In the future, I'll only but the sew on velcro that is sold by the yard.

On the bottom of the stable is a label to personalize your gift.

Here's the whole gang.  Baby Jesus has his own little cradle that you can put him in. I think Stacy did a wonderful job with her new creation.  It will make a lot of children happy! ❤️

Happy American Thanksgiving!

We all have so much to be grateful for :)

Best Friends Forever

This is the second set of dolls I’ve made from a panel by Stacy Iset Hsu. You simply cut, sew snd stuff. It’s still time consuming though :) I made these for my youngest grand daughter Riley, who will be 3 in a couple of weeks.

Riley’s mom told me that her sisters won’t share their dolls that I made for them snd that Riley needed her own set. Best Friends Forever was perfect for Riley, I think I’ve made all the other panel dolls for her sisters!  I decided to make Riley a doll quilt big enough for her four dolls.

I also made a lined drawstring bag for the dolls. The pattern is by Jeni Baker, the artist size. Isn’t that the cutest fabric! Riley’s favorite color is yellow.

I’m sure excited for Riley to open her gift! I’m sure she’ll have fun playing with them all day long!

Coral Queen of rhe Sea

There's been a lot of Christmas sewing going on here!
I made my second "Coral Queen of the Sea".
It's a Moda panel by Stacy Iest Hsu.

Then I made a lined drawstring bag by Jeni Baker,
her blog is In Color Order.
I've made over 200 of these bags, literally! I made them for the Young Women at our church, for their birthdays, two years in a row.
It's such a wonderful bag, I love it!  The pattern comes with many different sizes, one of them is a free tutorial.
I have a board on Pinterest devoted to the bags,
you can check it out here.

I'll share more Christmas sewing with you next week!

Once Upon a Time Multi Princesses Panel

I love Stacy Iest Hsu's doll panels,
I've made a lot of them for my grand daughters.
This one is called "Once Upon a Time."
It has a two carry handles and some ties to close at the sides.
I buy the panels at quilt shops or on Easy.

The little castle opens up to show an armoire for the two princesses and a bed for their pet unicorn.
The bed is just a pocket to slide the unicorn into,
with a removable pillow.

One princess is pink and the other is purple.
If I was a little girl, I would name the princesses Ruby and Violet :)
The doors on the armoire open to reveal a princess dress
and some accessories.

I love their little unicorn with her pink heart
and her own removable skirt :)

She even has a pink mane!

This set comes in two panels, one for the castle
and the other has the princesses and their pets.

The back cover has a pocket for the pet bunny.
I cut the dolls out very carefully along the dotted line,
with sharp scissors.
I shorten my stitches to about 1.25 so that the seams will stay sewn.

It takes some time to stuff them, but it's totally worth it!

I'm giving this little set to my grand daughter Taylor,
who is 3 years old.
I hope it brings her many hours of enjoyment :)

Hansel and Gretel panel

Santa's workshop is in full swing at my house :)
I bought a Stacy Iset Hsu panel on Etsy and made this adorable little Hansel and Gretel set.
It comes with the dolls, the little teddy bear, the bunny,
pillow and quilt.

Some of my grandchildren just love these,
they're so much fun to play with.
They come on a panel, you simply cut along the dotted lines, sew, turn right side out, press, stuff and stitch closed.
(oh, is that all, you say!!!)

While I was in my sewing room,
you can see that the little girls were very curious.

I also ordered this James Marshall book on Amazon.
The story is a little much though, because their mother makes the father take them to the woods so that they can get lost,
or eaten by a witch!
There's a happy ending though, the children live happily ever after with their father... even though he was rather weak...

This is what the panel looks like,
with very easy to follow instructions.

I always make a lined drawstring back to hold everything in.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

I have a cute little two year old grand daughter named Taylor.
Many months ago, when I first saw Stacy Iest Hsu's Goldilocks and the Three Bears Novelty Cut Sew Doll Panel, I knew I had to make it for Taylor for Christmas.
She loves dolls and role playing and I hoped she'd like it :)

I'm not usually a fan of doll panels, but some of them are really cute!
Isn't Taylor precious?

But seriously, what little girl wouldn't want these?
I wanted one, lol!
Goldilocks has a removable skirt, and so does Mama Bear.
Papa Bear's bow tie is too much, along with his shorts and suspenders.
I added a little "I Love You" tag to baby bear but sewed it on backwards, oops!
I had them all nestled in a large lined drawstring bag by Jeni Baker.
I made the bag out of Lori Holt's fabric line "Flower Patch".

I had the brilliant (ha ha!) idea of including the book in the bag.
I researched all the goldilocks books and this one seemed the best.
Goldilocks is very naughty in the book, she doesn't listen to her mom.
There are a lot of lessons to learn from that.

I'm pretty sure Taylor likes her gift.
Thanks to her mom Kimalee for taking the photos for me :)
I was so intent on wrapping and delivering the gift that I totally forgot!
